Scope
These terms govern your use of TOMOSHIBI (the “app”). By using the app you agree to them.
TOMOSHIBI+ subscription
- Annual — every lantern, every scene, and all features. Includes a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers.
- Monthly — the same content. No free trial.
The price shown on the purchase screen inside the app is authoritative. It may vary by region and exchange rate.
Lanterns (bonfire, candle, andon, irori, kagaribi, chochin and others) and scenes (forest night, snowy cabin, rain under the eaves, the shore and others) are available while a TOMOSHIBI+ subscription is active. Some scenes become available progressively over the course of the subscription.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
If you are on a free trial, you will be charged automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing.
How to cancel
iOS Settings → your name at the top → Subscriptions → TOMOSHIBI → Cancel Subscription.
After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. There are no pro-rated refunds for cancelling mid-period.
Differences between devices
iPad has no Taptic Engine. Because of this, haptic content — the crack of the wood and the per-scene patterns (raindrops, the swell of waves, gusts of wind) — does not play on iPad. This is also true with a TOMOSHIBI+ subscription.
iPad also has no proximity sensor, so face-down detection uses tilt alone, and the screen dims rather than turning off.

One-time purchases
There are no one-time purchases. The only products offered are the two TOMOSHIBI+ subscriptions above.
Purchases can be restored at any time from “Restore Purchases” on the purchase screen or in Settings, using the same Apple ID.
Prohibited conduct
You may not decompile, modify, or redistribute the app, or attempt to circumvent its purchases.
Disclaimer
The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from its use.
The app does not provide medical, health, or safety advice.
Session records stored on your device are lost if the app is deleted or the device is damaged or lost. The developer has no means of recovering them.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction of first instance over any dispute concerning the app.
