Answers to common questions about using the app, credits, purchases and privacy.

Where steps differ between iPhone and Android, both answers are shown.

Try-on

The result doesn’t look quite like me, or my face or background changed a little

Try-on images are AI simulations, so your features or the background may change slightly. Adding an upper-body photo with your face clearly visible in My Studio helps keep your features consistent. Retaking the photo in a bright place or using a remake (1 credit) also helps.

How do I take a photo that works well?

Stand in a bright spot with a plain, light background and fit everything from head to toe in the frame. Wear clothes that show your body shape (take off thick outerwear), face the camera and hold your arms slightly away from your body. Dark photos, cut-off feet or several people in the shot make it harder.

A generation failed. What happens to my credits?

If no image is produced, the credits used are automatically refunded in full — no request needed. If you see “We couldn’t generate an image from this photo,” retaking it in a brighter spot usually works.

How long does a generation take?

A try-on usually takes a few dozen seconds, and a Fit Report about 40–60 seconds. It can take a little longer when it’s busy — we’re taking care to get it right.

What can I try on?

You can freely combine tops, outerwear, bottoms, hats, glasses, earrings, scarves, necklaces, gloves, watches, rings, belts, bags, shoes and accessories into one look. Rings and watches are shown with the hand brought slightly forward so they’re easy to see. Some items, such as underwear, aren’t supported. Add clothes by taking a photo or by sharing them from a shop page.

How do I try on clothes from a shop page?

iPhone: Open the item in Safari, a shopping app or Instagram, then tap Share → TryOn. No retaking photos and no picking categories. See the step-by-step guide in Settings.

Android: Open the item in Chrome, a shopping app or Instagram, then tap Share → TryOn. No retaking photos and no picking categories. See the step-by-step guide in Settings.

What is Compare?

Generate 2–3 options for the same spot side by side under the same conditions to see which suits you. Share the result as one card labeled A, B and C. It uses one credit per image generated.

Can I remake a result or get other angles?

You can remake a result once under the same conditions for 1 credit. Add upper-body or angled photos in My Studio to choose a multi-angle result in one image (same credits).

Fit Report

What is the Fit Report?

It scores your try-on like a stylist on five points — color, silhouette, fit, mood and versatility — and puts what works, what to watch and how to style it with your own clothes on one report. It costs 3 credits, and viewing a report again is always free.

My score was lower than I expected

The score isn’t a verdict on whether something suits you — it’s a set of hints to make the look better. Try again with different accessories or pieces based on “What to watch” and the suggested items, and watch the score go up. The report is an AI-based reference; please check size and material on the actual item.

Style Profile

Can I get a personal color or body type analysis?

Yes. Under “Style Profile” in My Studio (or Settings), you can analyze your personal color, body type and measurements at any time for 1 credit each (optional; free on the Pro plan). You get a detailed result with reasons: your best colors with swatches, flattering shapes, fabrics and lengths, and estimated shoulder width, waist and more. Once saved, your Fit Reports use these results to score and comment for you. You can also copy the estimated measurements into your body info for the size check.

How accurate are the analyses?

They are AI estimates from your photos, not a substitute for a professional consultation, so we always show the reasons and a confidence level (high, medium, low). For personal color, a face photo in natural daylight (for example by a window) with light makeup and no filters works best. For body type and measurements, use a full-body photo in clothes that show your body line. When confidence is low, you’ll see a tip for a retake, so try again with a different photo.

What happens to the photos and results?

Photos are sent only for the analysis and are never stored on our server. Results are saved only on this device, and only a summary (such as your color and type names) is used for your Fit Reports. The estimated measurement values are never sent. You can delete results anytime in “Style Profile”, and they are also deleted when you delete your account.

Size and fit

Can I check whether the size will fit?

Yes, optionally. Enter your height, weight and usual size under “Check the size too” in My Studio, then on the try-on screen open “Check the size” and enter the measurements from the product page’s size chart (length, body width, shoulder width, sleeve length; for bottoms, waist, inseam and more). The result shows estimates like “the hem falls around the knee” or “sleeves about 3 cm past the wrist”. It works for outerwear, tops and bottoms.

Where do I find the garment measurements?

The product page’s “size chart” or “size details” lists the measurements (cm) for each size. Enter the numbers for the size you plan to buy. An M can measure differently from brand to brand, so the measurements give a more accurate result than the size label. Body width, thigh width and hem width are measured flat across one side. It’s fine to enter only the ones you know.

How accurate is the size check?

Please use it as a guide. The written check (hem, shoulders, sleeves, body width and so on) is calculated from the measurements you entered and body positions estimated from your height, so it’s a handy reference for choosing a size. The try-on image also tries to reflect the fit, but small differences, such as between neighbouring sizes, may not be shown accurately. If you’re unsure, check the written result together with the size chart.

Where are my height and weight stored?

Only on your device (it isn’t synced to other devices). It’s sent to our server only when you try something on, used to calculate the fit, and then discarded without being stored. The AI service that creates the image receives only the calculated description (such as “the hem falls around the knee”) plus your height and the size labels—never your weight or body measurements themselves. You can delete it any time from My Studio, and it’s also deleted when you delete your account. Every other feature works without it.

Closet

Can I record the brand and price of items in my Closet?

Yes. Touch and hold an item in your Closet and open “Edit Details” to record its name, brand, price, store, product page URL, size, color, material, seasons, purchase date and notes, plus whether you own it, are considering it or passed on it (all optional). Use the search field at the top of the Closet to find items by name, brand, color or note, and sort (date added, price, brand, name) or filter (category, brand, season, color, status, price). These details are stored only on your device.

Are details filled in automatically for items I share from the web?

Yes. Details that can be read from the information published on the product page — such as the product name, brand, price, store, color and material — are filled in automatically. What can be read depends on the store’s page; anything that couldn’t be read stays blank, so you can add it in Edit Details, and you can correct anything that’s wrong. The page is read on your device, and its content is never sent to our server.

Can I just try on a shared item without keeping it in my Closet?

Yes. On the screen that appears when an item arrives, turn off “Save to Closet” to use it for that try-on only, without keeping it in your Closet. Leave it on to look back at it later or combine it with clothes you own. Items you keep can be deleted anytime by touching and holding them in your Closet.

Credits and plans

How many times can I use it for free?

New users get 3 credits — that’s 3 try-ons. You can earn more by inviting friends: you both get 5 credits.

How many credits does each action use?

A try-on is 1 credit per image (2 for outfits with 5 or more items), Compare uses one per image, a Fit Report is 3 and a remake is 1. The number is always shown before you start.

What’s the difference between the plans?

Light gives 90 credits every month and Standard 220. Annual plans save two months and refill credits every month. Pro lets you generate up to 100 images a day without using credits. Without a plan, you can buy Single Use (4 credits); paid members can also buy an Add-on Pack (50 credits). See prices on the plans screen in the app.

What does Pro’s “up to 100 images a day” mean?

While subscribed to Pro, you can generate try-ons and Fit Reports up to 100 images a day without using credits. A Fit Report counts as 3 images and Compare counts per image. The count resets at midnight Japan time. One generation runs at a time; if you reach the limit, the app lets you know and you can keep going from midnight.

Do credits carry over? Do they expire?

Monthly plan credits don’t carry over; they’re replaced every month. Add-on Pack credits aren’t affected by the monthly refresh and stay while you keep your subscription (they end when you cancel and your period ends). Credits from Single Use, the welcome offer and friend invites never expire. Tap your credits count to see the breakdown.

Where can I see what my credits are made of?

Tap the credits count at the top right of Home or on the try-on screens to see them split into Monthly, Add-on Pack, and Bonus & Single Use. The same breakdown appears under Credits Left in Settings. For monthly credits, the next reset date is shown too.

Which credits are used first?

The ones that run out soonest are used first: Monthly, then Add-on Pack, then Bonus & Single Use. Bonus and Single Use credits, which never expire, are kept until last.

Do Add-on Pack credits disappear when my plan renews each month?

No. Only monthly credits are replaced each month; Add-on Pack credits stay as long as you keep your subscription. For example, on Lite with 0 monthly and 40 pack credits left, after the renewal date you’ll have 90 monthly and 40 pack credits. Pack credits end only when you cancel and your subscription period ends.

Why is the price or currency different from what I expected?

iPhone: Prices are set for each App Store country or region (the one your Apple Account uses) and are shown and charged in that currency. Changing the app’s language doesn’t change the price — what you see is what you pay.

Android: Prices are set for each Google Play country or region (the one your Google Account uses) and are shown and charged in that currency. Changing the app’s language doesn’t change the price — what you see is what you pay.

Is there an offer for new users?

If you subscribe to Light or Standard for the first time within 48 hours of starting the app, you get bonus credits: 5 with a monthly plan or 100 with an annual plan (Pro isn’t included). The time left is shown on the plans screen.

Purchases and cancellation

How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone: Cancel anytime from “Manage or cancel subscription” in the app’s Settings (or iPhone Settings > your Apple Account > Subscriptions). Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to stop the next renewal; you can keep using the plan until the current period ends.

Android: Cancel anytime from “Manage or cancel subscription” in the app’s Settings (or in the Google Play app under your profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions). Cancel before the next renewal date to stop the renewal; you can keep using the plan until the current period ends.

What happens if I change phones or reinstall the app?

iPhone: For subscriptions, tap “Restore Purchases” on the plans screen on your new device — no sign-in needed. If you reinstall on the same device, you pick up where you left off. To use your credits on a new device too, tap “Sign in with Apple” in Settings on your old device, then sign in with the same Apple Account on the new one. Photos and results are stored only on your device, so register your photo again on the new device.

Android: For subscriptions, tap “Restore Purchases” on the plans screen on your new device — no sign-in needed, as long as Google Play uses the same Google Account. If you reinstall on the same device, you pick up where you left off. To use your credits on a new device too, tap “Sign in with Google” in Settings on your old device, then sign in with the same Google Account on the new one. Photos and results are stored only on your device, so register your photo again on the new device.

I made a purchase but it isn’t showing

Reopen the app with a good connection and tap “Restore Purchases” on the plans screen. Purchases that didn’t finish are also picked up automatically when you open the app. If it still doesn’t show, contact us with the purchase date and item.

I’d like a refund

iPhone: Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request one from Apple’s “Report a Problem” page (reportaproblem.apple.com).

Android: Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google. Request one from your Google Play order history (play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory).

Can I share with my family through Family Sharing?

iPhone: Plans and credits aren’t part of Family Sharing; they’re used on the purchaser’s account. Family members can each start with 3 free try-ons on their own iPhone.

Can I share with my family through Google Play Family Library?

Android: Plans and credits aren’t part of Family Library; they’re used on the purchaser’s account. Family members can each start with 3 free try-ons on their own phone.

Account

Do I need to register or sign in?

No. Right after downloading, you can use every feature — try-ons, Fit Reports and purchases. We don’t ask for your name or email.

What does “Sign in with Apple” do?

iPhone: It’s optional. Sign in from “Sign in with Apple” in Settings to keep your current credits and plan and use them on your other iPhone or iPad too. We don’t receive your name or email.

What does “Sign in with Google” do?

Android: It’s optional. Sign in from “Sign in with Google” in Settings to keep your current credits and plan and use them on your other Android devices too. We don’t store your name or email.

What happens if I delete my account?

You can delete it anytime from “Delete Account” in Settings. Your remaining credits, plan and server records, plus the photos, results and wardrobe on your device, are all deleted and can’t be restored. Subscriptions don’t stop automatically, so cancel first from “Manage or cancel subscription.”

Photos and privacy

Where are my photos stored?

Your photos, clothing images and results are stored only on your device. Images are sent only when generating and are never stored on our servers.

Where are my photos sent? Are they used to train AI?

When generating, images go through our server to OpenAI (or Google’s Gemini as a backup). Both are paid APIs, and under their terms the images aren’t used to train AI. They may be kept temporarily to monitor abuse (up to 30 days at OpenAI). We also explain this on a confirmation screen before your first generation.

Can I try clothes on photos of family or friends?

Only photos of yourself can be registered, and images showing anyone under 18 can’t be used. We recommend your family and friends use TryOn on their own phone — and with a friend invite, you both get 5 credits.

I want to delete my photos

You can retake or delete your photos anytime in My Studio. Deleting the app removes all images on your device. We don’t store images on our servers, so no deletion request is needed.

Invites and campaigns

When do I get the friend invite reward?

Once your friend enters your invite code within 7 days of starting the app and completes their first try-on, you both get 5 credits. Each person can enter a code once. Inviters can receive rewards for up to 20 people a month; beyond that, your friends still get theirs.

How do I use a promo code?

iPhone: Tap “Redeem promo code” in Settings or on the plans screen and enter the code, or open the link shared in the campaign, to redeem it on the App Store screen. The plan or credits you receive are added to the app automatically. If they don’t appear right away, reopen the app or try “Restore Purchases”. What each code includes and when it expires are announced with the code.

Android: Tap “Redeem promo code” in Settings or on the plans screen and enter the code, or open the link shared in the campaign, to redeem it on the Google Play screen. The plan or credits you receive are added to the app automatically. If they don’t appear right away, reopen the app or try “Restore Purchases”. What each code includes and when it expires are announced with the code.

Troubleshooting

I see “Please wait until the current try-on finishes before starting the next”

With Pro, one generation runs at a time so each one is done with care. As soon as the previous try-on is ready, you can start the next.
